We just finished work on a real exciting project for "Extreme Makeover - The Home Edition".
On June 3, 2006 LAPD officer Kristina Ripatti was on patrol here in Los Angeles. She was shot while chasing a robbery suspect, and unfortunately, she became paralized from the chest down. The small, 800 square foot home they were living in was completely inadaquate for her to be able to move around and live in. The TV show decided to completely demolish her old home and build her a 3200 square foot home that would be more suited for her needs.
