You've heard the advertisements on the radio,
now you too can get the real story regarding the Pulsating
negative/positive ion field generator air purifiers.

The manufacturer (EcoQuest) has requested that we not use any of their
product names on our site so it may seem a little confusing to describe their product.

We find this rather remarkable.... what are they afraid of?

Here is the link to my conversations with EcoQuest.

"... uses technology taken directly from nature. Ozone isn't
just the layer above the earth, it is also a powerful cleaning agent,
as much as 10 times as effective as chlorine. These units are
powerful ozone producers. Using activated oxygen to generate
an extra atom. This atom splits off from the ozone molecule and attaches to the airborn particle..."

The above quote is part of the pitch that this manufacture's dealers will make about their air purifier.
The truth is that ozone generator based air purifiers are EXTREMELY dangerous.

Something else that you should know is the fact that EcoQuest claims that their
units will remove the particulate matter from your living area. The problem is when the
floating particles have been positively charged by ion from their unit, they are then attracted to any
negatively charged surface. This would include your floors, walls, furniture, TV, you, and YOUR LUNGS.
The debris is NOT removed from the environment, only its composition has been
changed. THE PARTICLES ARE NOT REMOVED FROM THE ENVIRONMENT! The particles settle out of
the air, and as you walk around the room, you then kick those particles right back up into
the air. As you sit on your furniture, you release a cloud of particles back into the air... You get the idea.

If you were to peek into any hospital surgical ward, dental lab, clean room environment,
you would find that not ONE of these companies use this type of technology.
They ALL use a HEPA filter based filtration system.

One of other problems with the way they portray HEPA filter based units is in relation to the area
of coverage that their unit supposedly covers. We have taken several of the IQAir Ozone Test Kits and have
found that their units really only have a measurable radius of about 25-30 feet.
Within that zone, the ozone levels are HIGHLY toxic.

Ultimately, you cannot beat the capicity or the performance of a good HEPA filter based system.
The highly recommend the IQAir Air Purifier system to you if you are serious about indoor air quality.

The only real application where we would recommend this type of unit would be in a situation where
you have severe odor problems. Either from fire damage, mold abatement, or other similar problems.

We have decided to no longer offer this unit. Our descision was based on the overwhelming amount of
negative evidence regarding the questionable health benifits of this product.
